Please let CGR and the Steering Committee know your service sharing/consolidation preferences for Police/Sheriff & Court Services. All feedback will be collected by CGR and kept confidential. Please return comments by June 20, 2008 in one of the following ways:

Court Options (rank 1-6 in order of preference)

	Maintain status quo (court remains in Maxwell Building).
	Eliminate Village Court and have 3 towns handle courts.
	Hold evening court sessions in the Yates County Courthouse and conduct all other court business in the Village Hall.
	Hold trials at the Yates County Courthouse but all other court business at Village Hall.
	Move the entire Village Court operation to the Village Hall basement.
	Move the entire Village Court operation to the Yates County Courthouse.

Police Options (rank 1-6 in order of preference)

	Keep the status quo.
	Have the Yates County Sheriff become responsible for investigations in the Village.
	Have the Sheriff provide law enforcement coverage for the Village on the slowest days for calls for police service (Sunday, Tuesday).
	Have the Sheriff provide police coverage for the Village during the slowest times of the day for calls for service (1 a.m. – 6 a.m.)
	Consolidate Village Police with Sheriff - Alternative #1: have the Village contract with the Sheriff and pay the County for a specified level of law enforcement coverage.
	Consolidate Village Police with Sheriff – Alternative #2: Dissolve the Village Police Dept. and have the Sheriff be responsible for law enforcement in the Village.
